keeping warm....

~Tired of burning myself on my Klean Kanteen when making hot tea, my kanteen in not insulated, I used some lovely yarn found the previous summer at a small shop in Pacific Grove, California.  Unfortunately in the true fashion of creating a custom pattern, with switches and re-workings, I have no pattern written for my Klean Kanteen Kozy.  Of course almost anyone who knows how to crochet can figure out what to do to achieve the same results.  I did make it in two pieces, the base is separate from the sides, worked in a round until it covers the bottom of my Kanteen.  The sides are worked in a round as well, once to the desired height, I began what would be a handle.  The handle is eight stitches across, repeat to desired length, single crochet into corresponding stitches on opposite side to create a handle.  I attached the bottom by slip stitching around the edges inside, then turning the Kozy right-side-out.  I also finished my edges around the top and handles with a simple slip stitch.
